Shwartz, is you car a 2008 G8V6? My engine cover looks nothing like yours. It does not have the silver centerpiece.

The air filter came with it.No oiling required. The price was pretty reasonable, here's the link.

Silver center piece? That's the intake. The 2 black pieces are the engine covers.
I went out and checked the vin#.It was built 05/08.The 10th vin# is a 9 which makes it a 2009 according to them.I was always told to add 6 months to the production date to get the year which would make it a 2008...dunno.It's got 5,700 miles on it.Any chance of you taking a picture of your engine?Got me all curious now what yours looks like.

How far down into the fender does this intake go? It looks like it goes down relatively far and was wondering how it compares to other products such as roto-fab's? I was wondering for fear of the intake being too long and sucking up water, etc.

It doesn't go that far down at all.I figured people would want to know,so that's why I posted all the pictures.Just take a close look at the pictures then look at your own vehicle.Sits just below the headlight bulb access cover.I did some research on here about this setup before I bought it and as far as I know no one yet has sucked up any water.

You would probably have to go through close to 2 feet of water to suck water. If you go through water that deep.........its sure not the CAIs fault. :)
