I've read about some people saying their trans was low on fluid. I live about 30 to 45 min. away from the dealer where I bought my car. I don't have a local Pontiac dealer but I do have a Chevy dealer. I also have a friend that is a certified mechanic that works for Ford. How hard is it to check the levels myself or with my friends help. He would have access to lifts after hours so we can get under the car. My car seems to be fine but I would like to check just incase.

From what I have been told it's like checking the rear diff fluid. Pull a plug and make sure it's at the threads...

Yes?? No??
