I started noticing a weird growl or vibration coming from the rear end a couple of weeks ago. It only seems to occur at low speeds while the car is turning. This only happens with a medium to high level of throttle and I have yet to notice it in a straight line. It happens with stability control active and deativated.
Has anyone noticed this in their vehicle? The car is cooling down in the drive way then I am going to crawl under it and see if there are any leaks around the diff or if the drive shaft has any play in it.

I don't think this is the same issue. I get very little vibration while the car is traveling at highway speeds. This is more of deep growl that only happens during acceleration and so far only when the car is turning.

The rear end "posi" is probably not working correctly.

That's what I am thinking. I wonder what parts availability is for the internals of the diff? It will go to the shop on Monday morning.

Does it sound like tire noise. About 40 mph and take a corner and then it goes away again?

You may want to check exhaust clearances on pipes. I have seen this issue on 2 G8s that had KOOKS headers, but it was easily adjusted.

No this is at speeds under 10 mph.

Ok. I will check that out. Where was the clearance issue? This did start after I put stock mufflers back on. I may have moved the pipes around while fitting the mufflers.

One was hitting the drain bolt on the diff and one was hitting the tunnel brace.

I will check it out.
