I bought mine from a dealership in Irvine, CA in August. It was their last GT. I paid 26,450 plus tax. No sunroof, cloth seats and 78 miles. Think I made out fairly well.

$32,000 in July before tax/tags (including aftermarket sunroof). BUT that was with 0% interest for 6 years, so I didn't get to use any rebates along with it. It would have been around $27,000 if I didn't use the 0% interest.

Funny, was just looking at my loan paperwork yesterday...

~$27,700 + TTL before trade in and money down - end of March '09. Car was built Nov. '08.

Not bad for a car w/ an MSRP of $35k at the time. Suffice to say I'm happy.

Ok...so I'm picking up my Magnetic Gray 2009 G8-GT (Build date: 7/08...2009.1, correct?) With Premium & Sunroof (no Sport) for $22.5K with 10,600 miles....good deal?

It seems like pickings are getting slimmer as I have been looking for a 2009 with a minimum of premium/roof for a decent price for about 6 weeks. I had hoped for a the Sport package...but realized that is all essentially bolt on accessories that could be added later if desired...the Premium & sunroof are not so made those mandatory on my list. While it wasn't my first choice of color, I don't mind it since it has the important options and the price seemed decent. Besides...as my brother-in-law mentioned, maybe the cops won't notice it as much as the white & red I had my eye on. LOL

2009 GT, Stryker Blue, Premium Package (leather seats, etc), 130 miles.

$28,500 but $26,500 after using $500 mail coupon and $1,500 in GM points.

The catch is that I live in New Hampshire and the car was in Ohio so I flew out and drove 13 hours home and now it is at 1,000 miles. I would've gotten one closer except all the local GT's are black and cost $35,000+

Sadly...the seller and I had to walk away from our deal due to "irreconcilable differences" mainly regarding form of payment last night with the 2009 Magnetic Gray G8-GT...dang. (Among other thigns I wasn't willing and am not able to fly around with $22.5 in cash...TSA is very uptight about that sort of thing.)Very sad :( Thing that was nice is it was only 600 miles away and a quick free flight. So, back to the drawing board.

(If anyone is interested, it is on the craigslist in Sacremento...asking price is $24K but he will take $22.5K but he thumped a curb with the front bumper overhang which was professionally fixed and does not show up on CarFax.)

BUT...luckily I was watching another one. It is not a 2009 but it is shiny Liquid Red 2008 with Premium/Sport/Sunroof, one owner and 15,000 miles; sadly it is 1200 miles away. Price? $21K OTD SWEET!!! (I take care of my own taxes and licensing.) I fly out to get it next Tuesday afternoon. Yes while it's a small amount more miles than I like, a bit further away than I wish, 2008 vs a 2009...but the package and color was what I was looking for and the price seems right and I compromised nothing accept the year. Besides in a month that will all be forgotten and I will be cruising in my shiny Red G8-GT. :woohoo:

Now...I'm just praying for good dry roads for the trip home. :)

Never posted mine.

In February '09 picked up my PSM '09 GT Sport/Premium as:
MSRP: $33,210
Selling Price: $31,613 ($500 under invoice, NJ)
GM Dealer Cash (extra at the time): -$2,000
Final Price before tax/tags/trade: $29,613
GMAC Financing: 1.9% for 72

Took the combo of dealer cash & special financing as the best of both worlds, traded in my '09 Malibu for almost payoff and drove away with a smile, from the best dealer I've ever met--even if had to go to Jersey;)

$26,200 + TTL + extended warranty + GAP

Bought a NEW 2009 in May of 09.
Sports Pkg; Premium pkg

Some argue that I should say 27,900 + (all of the above)

But I had shopped around for different cars for a several months, and I was quoted very low on my trade in each time.
They have gave me 1700 over Kelly Blue Book! (everyone else was giving me 1000 or more under.

Long story short- Think what you want, but NO one was willing to give me KBB price- but they went over by 1700.

So 27.9 - 1.7 = $26.2K

PS - Not lying - as someone suggested. A good deal is a good deal. Nothing more, nothing less.

Bought the PBM '09 GT, loaded, sport, 42 miles, no sunroof in May '09; sticker'ed for $31,950. Put $6k cash down, plus $16k trade in on my '07 Impala SS (car was paid for). Financed right around $10k. Finished paying off the loan this past december.

Bought my 2009.5 SRM GXP loaded, sunroof, leather, 17 miles, in October '09. Window sticker showed $37,950. Debated whether or not to trade the GT in but decided to keep it as my DD. Offered the dealer $34.5 cash for the GXP out the door; sealed the deal @ $34,950 drive off. Got him to throw in scheduled maintenance (oil change/filter/tire rotations) for 3/36, and have the windows tinted.

I got my new 2009.1 GT with premium/sport for $27,000 in November 2009. It was the last one in Washington state with the premium and sport packages. The only crappy part is that I traded in a Mazda3 that I had only bought about a year prior so I had a ALOT of negative equity. It was stupid of me, but I really wanted the G8 and since Pontiac was going out of business, I had to get me one right then and there. So with the negative equity and putting $3,000 as a down payment, I am financing a little over $33,000 for the next 6years. My monthly payment is $513 and it hurts alot, but the pain goes away when I sit in the driver's seat. :pee:

Wouldn't have guessed that one, SRG. Best of luck with the buyout options...

Okay, I'll play.

Bought mine 1 year ago today, in the height of the "incentives"

MSRP 30k, Brand new except the dealer transfer miles from about an hour away...

Base MGM 2009.1 GT, Cloth, 18" All seasons, No sunroof, No sport, no extras. 7k in GM rebate/incentives, 2k in dealer cash (I like to think of this as my negotiation abilities), and 1k in "old 2009.1 stock incentive" since I pushed the "but the 2009.5 cars have integrated bluetooth and THATS what I want!!"

....brought me down to $20k even.

Then $5k trade in on my 2001 Grand Prix and $5k down, and I have a 10k loan.

MORE MOD MONEY!

I bought mine new in November last year for 27K. It was the last one in Washington state with Premium and Sport packages. My local dealer traded another dealer about 100 miles away a 2010 Buick Lacrosse for my 2009.1 Pontiac G8 GT. My G8 had been sitting on this other dealer's lot for 15 months and had about 700 miles on it from test drives, but it was still new. I just went into the dealership and told them that my starting price was Invoice. Then I got $4,500 in rebates on the car. Then they threw in a bunch of free oil changes and we settled on the 27k + TTL for the car. I traded in my Mazda3 worth about $11,000 that I owed $18,000 on. I put $3,000 down and after all was said and done, I ended up financing about $33,000 for the next 7 years. My financing terms suck but that's because I've been buying a new car every year for the past 3 years, so I've built up a ton of negative equity. My payment is about $500 a month, and even though I'm only 22 years old, I have a good job to where i can afford it. I don't regret my decision in any way because I love this car more than anything else.

Just to put things in perspective, I paid $32,845 for a 2008 GT with everything but sunroof. Of course, this was April 2008, and it was the first G8 the dealer ever received. It had 9 miles on it when I bought it and I put 5 of those on it during the test drive. Residual on the loan (as of today) is about 17.4K, trade in value is 21-22K, so I never got upside down.

I think I'l keep it.

35+ taxes (canadian) premium with sunroof

Window price on these GT's in my area was 42k+ for just premium package. GXP's weren't released here so no idea what they would have went for.

Got my 2009 G8 GT April 2nd 2010 it had 2800 miles on it no sun roof, for Under $27,000 Panther Black in mint condition and 4.9% for 5.5 yrs and love it.
I am still looking in the trunk for the spair tire. I think it is in there some were, maybe Obama took them all out to jack up the MPG's and he is rolling all the spairs around the White House or he put them on his Low Rider back in Chicago in the hood.:surprise:

I have a 2009 premium, leather, bought Feb 2009 for $26,600. 0% GMAC loan and I think it was the best car I have ever owned. I would have paid more, but I really could not afford to. I really wanted a CTS V, then a GXP and after doing my taxes decided this was all I could stand to pay.
