for those that dont know what drag week is it is where you race at 5 tracks in 5 days driving your race car from track to track. no trailers, no support vehicles. there are several 7sec cars making this trip. trip is easy for me. 25mpg on the highway.

summit track is amazing and the weather was perfect.

11.95@122 on sunday 9psi
11.90@122 on monday 9psi
11.87@122 on tuesday 10psi
11.44@124.5 on wedsday 10.5psi  , today at summit track.

good weather and the syty shuffle off the line. perfect traction, tires were at 27psi. 60' was still only 1.92. i could have held it on the line longer and got a little better 60' but my rt was 5sec the way it was. car just doesn't make much power down low.

i think a 3rd meth nozzle, exhaust, more boost and maybe a touch of race gas and it would be into the 10's.

mod list for the car so far. twin 60mm turbos done up aps style. AIS meth kit with 2 14gph nozzles running full blast. hp tuners and an lc1. stock cam, stock converter, stock 5 muffler exhaust other than the washer mod.

i love this car

Nice ET drop. Your G8 must be a silent thunder running down the track.

You aren't the same Parish that used to have the turbo Chevy truck(s) are you?

Yep he's the same guy.

I went over Tuesday at Martin,MI US131 and saw Jim run 3 12.0 runs.
This car is so quite. He must have ran that 11.87 after I left at 1:30PM.

BTW Jim the tuning school just released the tuning guide for the A6 for $79.
Jim is still running full torque management currently.

You're kidding, right?

You're kidding, right?

From what he was showing me in the log file.
It was pulling -27 degrees of timing on the 1 2 shift.

car is pretty conservative. rich, low timing, tq management still in there.

i am at 13deg all of the run and at -10 or more during the shifts.

the car is soo smooth it feels like it would run forever at this setting. i am very happy with it.

today at national trail it ran a 11.87@122. i only made 2 runs. it was hot and i knew there was no way i could get a new best.

OMG. With a slightly aggressive tranny tune and long tubes, there's no doubt at ALL that you would break the 10s. Amazing...

i have turbos. long tubes wouldn't make any difference. getting rid of the timing pull on the shifts might make it a little quicker but i am more comfortable letting it shift smoothly and running a little more boost.

while the tm is still in there the shifts are quick so the timing pull doesn't last very long.

Wow, nices times! I take it your using the Meth to supply the extra fuel at boost. Correct? Are you running a progressive system?

yes, the trunk mount AIS progressive kit. it goes threw a lot of meth. i would say about 1 gallon every 8 runs. i have it set to start flow at 2psi and go full on by 8psi. the meth is adding a ton of fuel capacity.

Great idea! That's going through a lot of Meth for sure.

update for the week.

2600mile round trip. 45 1/4 mile runs. 11sec slips from every day with a best run of 11.44@124.5. no issues with the car at all.

we got to see tons of nice cars. lots of nice people. a couple of killer tracks. lots of broken parts. got to goto the summit retail store and a jegs retail store. saw lake erie and lots of neat drives. ate at a place called steak on a stone where you cook your own steak on a 700deg rock. a guy there ran 7.25@204mph after driving his car 1300miles that week. raced on the same tires he drove on.

there is a bracket race for the quickest 32 daily driver cars on friday so i turned in a slower slip on friday to get my average down a little. tuned in a 13.1 wich put my average to a 12.08 with a dial in of 11.98. first bracket i ran a 12.00 but redlit by .01. i suck at bracket racing but it was fun. car got 24.8mpg with the dod off. not sure what i did to tune that out but it no longer comes on ever.

fun week, can't wait for next year.
