Will the G8 ever see a 9 second pass? I believe it is possible, but will anyone actually take the time to make the passenger sedan THAT fast? Is it worth it?Figured this could be an interesting topic.

I would say it will happen in OZ 1st. I expect to see a dozen 10 sec ones in the US late this year and early next year. I will be one of them. :)

I think 10s will be the cut-off for a streetable G8.

If a TBSS can go a 9.27@145 I dont see why a G8 can go 9's.

I think once people start putting big turbos on these cars the 9's will come quickly. I have no doubt it will happen.
Big turbo + big motor = fast!

It would be too much of a pain in the ass to get my baby in and out of his seat with a roll cage installed, so we're not going to take things quite that far.:wah:
I think it will happen with time. I was wondering if anyone will ever pull at least one wheel off the ground in the 4,000 pound beast. It will need to be a hard launch and a lot of hook (with the right parts). Wonder if it is even possible with 50/50 weight distribution

You won't need a cage...you just make a quick pass but won't be able to run there for awhile. A couple of weeks ago at Cecil....a black Vette pulls up to the line and clicks off a 9 second run and disappears into the crowd. A few days later track officials are closely monitoring all black Vettes at the track.

Underground Racing (cool videos by the way) has RWD Twin Turbo Lambo Gallardos and Vipers going 9's, 8's, and 7's! Just a matter of time, money, and about 1200-1400 rwhp before we see a G8 hit the 9's. Have SC'd & NA ones hitting 9's also - but they are lighter and have more cubes to begin with...

Not yet. Hopefully in October. Had a little set back and I hope to get back on track in the next 2 weeks.

nah when Fran gets a car done for a customer they do that. I'm waiting for the Twin Turbo Z06 to get done.
