Has anyone been driving with the sunroof all the way open at say 55+ and noticed if you pull the deflector wing thing at the front of the sunroof down the wind noise drops about 75 percent?

Does/is it integral to the operation of the sunroof. Is it removable? What is the benefit of it even being there other than making boat loads of noise when the roof is open?

I removed mine last year, Still find it VERY noisey at times.

i think it is there to change the tone of the wind noise. with it working (in its up position) the noise is a higher pitch....if you hold it down the pitch drops and you get a really low pitch tone in the noise. i guess car comp's feel the higher pitch noise is better.
