It wouldn't have worked out either way. They would have been tamed to suit the people who would never buy them in the first place, or the consumers that would buy would complain about prices. Finally, greedy ass dealerships would have been asking so much over sticker no one would buy them. Then, they would claim it was a flop, and a bad decision; never taking responsibility for lackluster sales

So if they're using the G8 hood as is, does that mean that that bumper cover, etc. would be a direct fit for our G8's?

Hit the nail on the head with that one.

There's talk that they've done some additional flaring of the fenders on the E2, these flares blend and meet the edges of the front bar. If so then it's going to require a fender swap as well.
Whatever is required will not be cheap thats for certain.

Holy ASS CRACKERS!!! Tell me all you need over the stock G8 to get that front end is the front bumper cover, bezels for the fog lamps and the LED DRL setup.

That would look so positively AWESOME, dual snouts and all.

There could be a big market for those front bumper covers if that is all that is needed.

Dear Roger Penske:

Would you consider selling a rebadged Holden as a Saturn because apparently GM doesn't get it, but you seem like a guy who does.

Love:

Enthusiast G8 owners who want more kick ass cars in the future.

There doesn't appear to be extra flaring just going by comparison pics. Time will tell.

Definately am liking the new style fron end. I'm hoping they will be direct bolt on's and Paul can get them for us.....reasonably priced of course :)
