My son and I decided to take a ride and look at some cars today. I told him that we can go look at some Camaro’s so when he gets in high school, he’ll have something to drive. I ended up at Becken masten Pontiac Dealership and guess what I saw? There it was! ………..singing. aaaaaahhhhhhhhhh. Two firehawks.. a grey one and a red one. So since I bought my car there I decided to ask one of the sales guys if I could drive it and at first he said NO.. then I said: ‘hell I bought a car here, got good credit and can’t test drive something that I might possibly buy? So the sales guy sure enough, went and talked with the manager and came back with the keys!

When we got down the street he told me to get on the freeway and to punch it (Not thrashing it!!!) Let me tell you…..that damn supercharger was screaming! I hit scratch in the first 3 gears in manual mode. The Firehawk is one hell of a machine and runs like a bat outta hell! Smooth but very powerful. The muffler system that it had on it (SLP) sounded awesome! No drone whatsoever! I am telling you guys ….if you have a chance to drive a firehawk, take advantage! I was almost willing to trade in my G8 GT for the Firehawk until I got home and told my wife and she said…Why do you wanna spend 50k on a firehawk when you can put those upgrades on your car and not have to pay that much money for the Firehawk?

After test driving it, I feel that it’s not just for show. It ran smooth, it was very fast and it looked incredible. Here are some pictures of the cars below.

How much were they asking for them?

What's the difference between the GT and the Firehawk? Supercharger, lowered, Brembo style calipers and rotors, exhaust and paint, anything else?

Do they use the 6.0 liter engine or the 6.2 liter?

It’s a GT with Supercharger, lowered, Brembo style calipers and rotors, exhaust, paint, and rear spoiler. Yes it's a 6.0 liter.

Asking price 50K

Very cool car! You can get the GT and mod it to even better performance for less money, but with that you get a warranty.

I called SLP to ask them about the rear spoiler. I was told they are only making them for the Firehawk but thinking about making them for aftermarket.

Yeah, the warranty adds more value... The car was really fun to drive and if yours runs like that, damn I got to put a supercharger on the list of upgrades!

I did too and they said everything else would be available except the wheels, spoiler and badges.

That's a sweet car. I love the way the wheels look with the drilled rotors and red calipers.

How many of these were made?

I am surprised as hell that they let you take it out. Especially without one of the salesguys with you. The one at my dealership hasn't left the floor since it came back from SLP. Not even the GM is to drive it.

I want that flat black hood decal. Think they'll sell it?

The brakes are by baer... they are about 1800 an axle (sponsors on here carry them, though they will have just the baer logo not the firehawk one... if you look real carefully at the last brake picture you can see half the baer logo).

If you have the Supercharger installed by a authorised fealer (like ETMC, or LMS or VMS) you can get the same warranty for a couple hundred bucks...

So... installed supecharger with warranty 7K
Brakes 4K installed

Other than that you are paying for the graphics the wheels and the
name. BTW I outran a TVS 1900 car at the track... ask Blue Freak ;)

The sales guy was with me on my test drive.

Maybe that’s why it's still sitting on the showroom floor?

It's paint.

It's paint.

Yeah, some of them are painted and some are decaled. Not sure why. You can get the decals from JHP. If you ask Crazy Paul, he'll probally be able to get them as well.

Wait, they use a 6.0? Surely an LS2, not the L76, right? Can you do DOD with a supercharger?

You are new right?

You are new right?

LOL

Yes you can put a 1900 on a DoD equipped L76. It is designed to work with that engine by Magna-Charger. You get even more power if you do a DoD delete and put in a bigger cam.

The SEARCH tab will give you lots of info.
