View Full Version : LT1 Firebird kill

Two nights ago me and a few of my buddies went down to woodward to have some fun. Now I have been waiting for a while to get a good run and i finally got it. One of my buddies has a lt1 firebird, its a m6 with lt's, full exhaust, cai, 160 thermostat, and i think a bigger rear end but i could be wrong. Earlier he claimed his car ran 12's and mine is still stock, so we catch a red light and line em up. Light goes green and we nose to nose till about 30-35mph and i start pulling pritty hard by the time we hit 70-75 i had a car and a half on him. After that he never said a word other than "damn you car is quite"...once again I love my car and I am very happy that i figured out sport mode is not actually tapping the shifter forward or backwards lol its a lot better than just leaving it in drive too...lol

Good kill, but it sounds like something's up with his car, or he can't drive, to be honest.

Not sure. He didnt give me an excuse so maybe hes just not that great of a driver, but it still put a nice smile on my face hehe

If he kept up 'til 35 with an M6, he's a pretty good driver. Probably has 4.10s in the rear. Nice kill. Is your car modded any?

Nope I'm still stock that's why I was kinda shocked I would have got video but I was just too excited to run lol I'll try to run him again with footage but I have another buddy with a lt1 camaro that has the same mods but he's an a4 and seems threatened by my car cus he won't run me lol

The top end of our cars pulls on a stock LS1, ask me I would know, but the stock tune/TCM tune hurt me and I would lose 1/3-1/4 car on every shift until top of 3rd/4th when I started reeling him in. Sounds like a good race, I think you'll take the A4, but get a vid showboat some!:)

Nice kill but kind of sad. I love those cars. Had one and loved it. Still, a kill is a kill.

If you are pulling the guy then it's either your car shifts faster or more probably it's just stronger, one or the other or both.
