A few days ago I was going to a party at a park for my buddies son's 4th birthday. Everyone there was begging me to do a burn out. I gave in and drove to the back of the lot and got ready for takeoff. I preloaded to about 1100rpm and mashed it while letting off the brake at the same time. It was a perfect classic style burnout, surprising considering it was my first. So, I parked the car, got out and looked back to see the tire marks. I was stunned as there were no tire marks but instead just one long one wheel peel. Are there any known issues with the limited slip failing?

Sometimes the limited slip will react this way. To be certain both axles spool, back up a couple feet to align the clutches. It should be okay. If you really had a one legger, you would have noticed it long before today. The single leg would be smoking the tire everytime you give 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. You would be a loose as... well you know!! Good luck

Wet the street. Run the rear tires through the water. Turn off traction control. Punch it. Have someone watch the offending wheel.

Is the stock LSD not a ?

I found the same thing but I always just considered it to helical style LSD which is common in factory LSD's

Traction control off. Power brake. Problem solved.

How elce do you do a burnout? Thats exactly how I do mine and I still get slippage, I ended up using the burnout box.

I think mine has too, or at least favored one side. I remember after my first time to the track I was cleaning my car, and it seemed like I had more rubber built up on one side from burnouts than the other.

LSD will unlock when the wheel speeds/rotation don't permit lock up. Outer tire will need to rotate faster to keep up with inner

what side do you guys usually have the rubber built up on? When I get home from the track it seems that I only have rubber built up on my right side. I also thought to myself what if most cars right tire spin more therefore building up more on the right side and not just my car? I might have to have someone watch me do a burnout and see what happens.
