First time to the track with the g8's.

Me and my brother went to the track for the first time with our g8s. I have a 08 g8 gt and he has a 09 g8 gt both bone stock and on 19inch stock wheels and tires. We ran the cars with tc off and stock tire pressure. Our best runs were: me in D- 14.34 with a 2.28 sixty foot at 99.48 mph and my brothers best was in sport mode- 14.40 with a 2.26 sixty foot at 98.53 mph. Is this average or should we be running faster? Here is the weather we ran in:

I ran in both lanes and had 5 total runs. Were you there last night? I heard about a silver g8 running but not a white one. What kind of times did you run at HRP?

60' times are high, and could be a more reasonable 2.0x. This would bring your times more in line with stockers. I'd say a little practice is in order. Check out the stickies for track tips. I think you could be around 13.7 with practice.

I will definately try to get the 60's down, I am heading to the track again this friday to practice some more. I could not tell if my bad 60's were because I was spinning or because I was not flooring it aggressively enough after the initial 800-1Krpm launch. I also think the 1/4 were a bit high because I ran the car as soon as we got there after a 40 minute drive to the track with no cool down.
