How accurate are these Dash Hawks for 0-60 times? No disrespect meant but I have a HARD time believing these cars are posting these times.

A new C6 ZR-1 is around 3.4-3.6 to 60 and that's with over 630bhp and in a much lighter car with a manual trans. The Nissan GTR with launch control does it in about the same time as the Vette and it has 500+hp.

Just wondering... Not trying to $hit on your parade.

Oh George, Saturday nite, 74 degrees low humidity, 4.13/4.16/4.21. I drove about 1 mile in between passes, so I think thats the differences in times. No converter YET! You got to the 3s 1st! Congrats! But I am going to hit the 3.7 range soon...........OR FASTER!

My car should be able to get deeper into the 3's I'd say 3.8s are realistic.

Cammed, your biggest problem is going to be traction. Show me the way!

425HP? I think we might tip 440-450. Need a little more time with the hurricane havoc, fixing the truck to finish my head research on what has to be done with a smaller cam to get me 50hp from the heads too. Compression will get me 20, valves and 5 angle, maybe 15-20, clean up on the exhaust
10. cam 40 theres 90. So I calculate with all my mods + intake/TB 530ish at the crank - 70 loss = 460RWHP 440-450 NO PROBLEM!

It's been raining on and off for days here.

The roads were dry this evening for the first time in days.

I got a 4.66 tonight with a full tank, my wife and two kids in the car. Slight uphill section. Spun half way through first, no traction at all.

My wife wanted to know if all the money I spent was worth it.

I'm going to go to the strip on the 17th. I need a few time slips to post.

PS
I should be between you and wreckwriter for hp. I've got the pulley and you don't. He's got the ported tb and intake, and we don't. He's also got 1 7/8 headers, so I'm probably closer to you than him, all things being equal.

Bragger! If you both have more horespower than me, then I'm going to have to run a quicker 1/4 mile time than you 2 chauncies! : )

I'll be going to the dragstrip near me (Stanton, MI - Mid Michigan Motorplex) either this Sunday 9/5 or next Sunday 9/12, and I am totally hoping for the 12's.

I am still totally impressed with Charlie's 12.7 with tune, cai, & cat back.

P.S. - I want to go to Livernois to get that UDP done, but I'm not sure when I can make that happen. My wife has stopped my modding for now.... : (

I put a new MAF in the car today. Chris from Vector said my lazy shifting was due to the fact I removed the MAF screen for more air-flow.

Kirk at Vector removed the TM from the up-shifts from the tune. Those two things have combined to give me awesome shifts!

The car will bark hard into 2nd and chirp into 3rd. It will also lay down 3.9s with ease, even though I'm spinning the shit out of the tires in 1st.

Here's what he said to me when I asked about the downside.

No downside I can find at this time. We still keep the downshift & forced downshift tables stock.

There are 4 different TM conditions in the transmission.

I just shut off one of them (upshift) on customers that ask me to do so. The other three are modified.

Dr. Miller was the first to ask me to do so as a test. He is pretty hard on his car and no problems so far. I have also remove the upshift TM on several others with no issues.

I never said it was a ticking time bomb, and never believed that statement either as long as only the upshift is removed. Removing the downshift is certain death, I have seen an Escalade break an imput shaft with no downshift TM. I have removed the upshift TM on over 30 A6 supercharged Escalade's with no problems. Many have over 80,000 miles at this time.

Pardon any spelling, I am in a 800 HP turbo LT1 on the dyno right now.

Hi Kirk. I got my EMC back today. thanks for the fast turn around time.

Regarding TM. Do your comments mean that unless somebody specifically asks to have upshift TM turned off it is not? If not turned off do you modify it like the other 3 TM schemes?
Thanks,
Ed

Correct. It is modified like the others.

I feel most comfortable removing the upshift TM in cars with at least a 3000 RPM converter. The converter does soften the hit to the transmission.

You must specifically ask me to remove it and understand the added torque the drivetrain will see.

I've got to scrape some bucks together and get DRs.

There was a fair amount of spin on this run. I have the rears at 30psi and I'm surprised it took off as well as it did.

This was one of those where, while it's accelerating, you know it's fast.

The new TCM tune is beautiful!
