My wife and I will be in Tampa for a week starting on the 12th of Sept.
If you locals can tell us some of the places to check out that would be nice.
Any place to cruise?

I think I'll be visiting one of our vendors while I'm there. :)

What vendor are you planning to visit when here?
Florida Aquarium,Ybor City,Hard Rock Casino,Brandon Motorsports Park is not far, Bush Gardens,MOSI,(Disney,Sea Wolrd,Universal) are all in Orlando very close to Tampa. Not really up on where people cruise at, but you might want to contact Rich at Percision Motorsports(he might know). There are many good places to eat all depends on what you like. Hope this helps a little

I live to eat, so my recommendations:

Joe's Crab Shack in Clearwater
YBOR
Channelside District
Columbia Restaurant at the St. Pete Pier
Jackson's Brunch buffet on Harbor Island

You can probably check out the FL fairgrounds. They have car/boat shows frequently.

And of course Hard Rock Casino.

There is tones of stuff to do in the Tampa/Orlando area. I've been in that area 5 times in my life, mostly when I was younger but there are amusement parks everywhere, beaches (Clearwater beach is a nice one) ect.

Enjoy!

P.S. Maybe go visit Faster Proms. :)

I was going to go visit Brent. BDS Performance.
I'll be staying somewhere in Tampa. My company has a vacation house, and I don't have the address yet.

Beaches would be my department then if you want to see some cool site check out 2005 Dr. Beach Number 1 beach Fort Desoto Park which has Fort and ruins of that nature and a shuttle (boat) to Egmount Key (island) you can see the bottom at 20 feet crystal clear water!! Best place to eat would be Salt Rock Grill, Couch Republic, Island Way Grill! Downtown St pete has some cool clubs and one of my favorite beer bars Independent (dont ask for a Miller they will kick you out) Clearwater Beach has Shepherds and Frenchys and Tampa the DH (?) martini Bar and my favorite steak Capital Grille and Burns (3rd)

Thanks for your replies. I found out the house is in Valrico on the golf course. The backyard, pool area faces the course.

Ray there are so many places to go and see here it's almost limitless what you can do, just depends on your interests. There is great mountain biking not far from Valrico at Alafia River and Balm Boyette. There are so many great places to eat, I can't even begin to tell you were to start, hell I'm salivating thinking of Origami Sushi, Cuban Breeze's masita de puerco, Berns Desert Room...man I gotta stop.
Ybor City in the day time is very cool place to check out, and turns into another animal altogether at night.
Jeremy and I were at BDS on Saturday, make sure you check out the Impy there.
Like Atlas said, the "cruise" is pretty late, and moves around.
Look us up if you need anything while you're in the neighborhood.
