Anyone want to meet at Cecil Dragway on WED 9/2 ?? It supposed to
be sunny and low 60s.
I want to try out the new diff and shave off a few tenths.

TnT...gates open at 5pm...racing starts at 6pm. I believe its $15 to race.

Sounds like a good time, the weather is supposed to be nice from today 8/31 and for the next 5-6 days. The Middle to lower northern east coast usually get's our Michigan temps a day or 2 after us......

Does Cecil let you get through with an open face or do they require a full face? I guess I am going to have to go get a racing helmet before I can see how she runs. Plently of open face motorcycle helmets though. May see if one of the open face meet the requirements if allowed. Think they would let me through with one of my brain buckets? Ha! Ha! Have fun tonite.

Mine is the pacific slate metallic.Looks real nice. You shouldnt miss it. I will be up there early ,5-5:30. If I dont leave my house early I will hit a ton of traffic heading north.

Augah 12.5ish Maxx low 13 but can't remember if he broke into the 12's
Roy low 12s but he smoked through those ET Streets like nothing. He needs better/wider tires!!!!

That's all good, I'm sure you guys had a good time. Wish I was there. Holy snap, I just looked at AUGAH's profile & mods. Damn! 12.5 with LT Headers, Vararam, ported tb & intake, and Jeremy Formato's tune. Sweet.....

Do you know if he's got a M6 or A6?

Oh and a bike dumped on the track appeared to be ok he got up and walked away as the bike slowly spun down the track.I didn't see the dump... Lots of fast cars there tonight RPM put their cam only Z06 down the track @ 10.4ish... Bad car

Nice, that's about right with a good driver. I watched a stock one go 10.99... then 10.8 on radials, freakin nuts! Definitely a used car I will have to pick up!

I ran 12.10s and the tires weren't the only issue. I had either flare or rev limiter issues just after the 1-2 shift in sport mode. The car just died. I know I lost at least 3 tenths.

With the 3.27 diff there is now a fine line between smoking the tires and a good launch. I smoked the tires on two runs. With the 2.92 diff I never had to worry about smoking the DRs.

It seems like these cars with cams in them are picky when it comes to the tune.......

First time to the track. What a hoot. Time slips attached. Best run was 12.533 at 113.53. Just hammered in sport mode with traction control off. Third run was a liitle sideways in what seemed like half the track.

My first run was a 14 something walked sideways on me coming out of the gate. The second run was 13.11 at 107mph spinning some . The last run I made was 13.10 at 107mph still spinning coming out of the hole but not as bad as the first run . I was happy with that. It was a blast. And nice meeting everyone. I would like to do that again sometime. I know that I will be in the 12ves if it hooks up.

No, but I saw him there. Let me know the next time you are at Cecil, I think I may have become addicted. Need to work on the lauches to improve the 60ft times. Lower air pressures and launch at 1200 vice idle.

He went up in smoke behind me, just rolled out the run. I will try the stock tires again next time to see if we can improve, maybe DRs after that.

Once they release more sizes in the fall I'm putting theses on my rears

Actually a bolt-on GT can do that too ;) I'm gonna go out tonight and see if I can improve my street tire time in the cooler air... considering I ran the 12.5 in the middle of a 90 degree day.

I've run 12.6 on stock tires and high 12.5 on radials off spray... so like I said a GT can hang pretty well with a modded GXP even on stock tires. But I'm sure a GXP will hook and sail past that time one of these days, just seems there's been more GT's out practicing.

I went 12.51 just playing with a 50 in second to see if it would spin or not.

Thats ok I've been playing with the 100 and went faster.
