Well folks, I owe you all a big apology! I had fallen behind in my volunteer duties for updating this thread, and the Registry itself. I have now corrected that fault, and sent everyone PMs with the info I have on their cars. Once again, for those who have been patiently waiting, THANK YOU AND I'M SORRY (OK I deserved that!). I can officially state that I now have owners documented for 504 total GXPs, which is 27.56% of all of them ever built! That means only 45 more cars and we break the 30% barrier! I also have location state/province documented for 672 total GXPs 36.74% of all of them ever built! That means only 60 more cars and we break the 40% barrier! I also wanted to let everyone know that I probably need my head examined (those of you who have met or know me KNOW I NEED MY HEAD EXAMINED!), but I am adding 1 more parameter to the Registry. I have the means to verify one other factor in GXP production that I never intended to track. That is tires. GXPs all came with either "RP2 - All Season Blackwall tires" (i.e. Goodyear RS-As) or "QCZ - Summer Only Perfromance Blackwall tires" (i.e. Bridgestone Potenzas). I am slowly going thru & verifying this for every GXP ever built. Once I have all of them done, I will update the statistics thread giving every car a little more specifics. Part of me is doing all of this work for selfish reasons. 1 of 10 total configured like mine just isn't rare enough for me , LOL!

If you own a GXP and haven't sent me a PM with the last 6 of your VIN please do so. The more I get, the more complete the Registry becomes. Your private information will NOT be shared with the General Public. Once I publish the Registry, it will only list the location state of each car, and the car details. Please help me get over the next numerical barriers!

I wanted to post some curious information that I have now discovered as I do more in depth research on G8 GXP Build Histories. First, out of the first 71 cars that I have fully authenticated, only 2 were equipped with code RP2 All Season Blackwall Tires (Goodyear RS-As). All the rest were code QCZ Summer Only Performance Blackwall Tires (Bridgestone Potenzas). I wonder if this trend will continue as I verify more cars? Second, I discovered an unusual situation with 3 cars. Under Model designation, I usually see "2EP69-2009 G8 GXP." I have now found 3 of the first 71 that instead state "2EP69-2009 VE - Commodore." At first I thought I made a mistake in entering the VIN, but I didn't. As I looked carefully under option codes, they include the following: EF7-Country United States of America, NU1-Emission System California, LE, OAP-Identification Pilot (Opel), V9R-Merchandised Pkg Pontiac G8 GXP, XQ3-Equipment Pontiac. Then when I checked to see where the vehicle was Invoiced & Shipped to, it states GM Holden. This makes me think that these 3 cars never left Australia. The vehicles in question are as follows: 9L300052, 9L300058, & 9L300065. If anyone can provide any input to help with this mystery, I would appreciate it. More to come as I do more research from home!

If you have a G8 GXP and haven't dropped me a PM yet with the last part of your VIN, please do so. I have much more info than I used to for your car!
