Went to get an inspection sticker today. Figured I'd test the hazard lights before going to make sure I didn't have any bulbs out, and when I pressed the button it pushed into the faceplate. I was able to fix it by disassembling the faceplate and then wedging some rolled up shop towel behind the button and the metal back plate. It seems to be a poor design with just two plastic pedestals that the button screws into that had snapped off. At least I found the problem before I left rather than the inspector discovering it.

VERY common! When I bought mine it was broken and the PO scratched it so I replaced it with a good take off unit.

Warmed up the garage, have the old wheel off. Transferring the trim and switches. Should be good to go in a few hours.

Update: Good to go. Swapping out the wheel using the directions CP posted was a piece of cake.
Even though he no longer participates, his contributions continue to help.

    Greatly missed.....

Picked up a used SLP spoiler today. Needs some minor body work, but nothing that can't be fixed. So now each of my G8's will have an SLP spoiler on them.

Shop prep. Backed her out of the shop, scrubbed wheel wells, then cleaned the shop: sweep, scrubbed concrete w deck brush and Simple Green, then mop. Going to be sitting or laying under the G8 a lot in the near future.

I broke the bolt for my front right lower control arm on the body side. Yep, that's what i did to my car today. lol
Anybody know the size of said bolt by chance? looks to be a 12mm x 2.0 thread, but i do not know the length, and it is stretched, and in 2 pieces, so don't know exact length.
