Started up the G8 after sitting for 7 weeks. No lifter tick, no problems.
Longest it's been sitting while I was away. Was worried the battery would be dead. My trickle charger was hooked up to the Mazda3 which would be dead in 2 weeks.

Took care of some rust starting on the edges of the front sub-frame, inside the front wheel wells. G8 only has 27k on it. That's what I get for living in the rust belt. I was recently crawling under my son's car with 140k and it has no rust at all (since he lives in the bay area of California).
Used Rustoleum rust reformer, not the rusty metal primer. The rusty metal primer doesn't work except on cleaned up surfaces. How I know is when I had to repaint the frame on a trailer that I previously painted with the primer.

Rotated tires and changed oil. While the wheels were off I Painted the calipers black with the G1 caliper paint kit. Looks good but will have to see how it holds up.

Yup. They didn't really come off the drag suspension much but the adj toe rods and bushings were a pretty good deal. You get some bmr goodies too?

I picked up the delrin upper control arm bushings. That was the last part for the rear that I did not have. I have a bunch of suspension parts that need installing - shocks, springs, LCA, and some bushings. Everything else I had except for the time to get them installed.
