    Default CAT BACK Exhaust systems

OK. So if the cats are the main restriction on the G8 then why not get a cat back system but use the stock mufflers to keep it quiet, and use the stock headers for the same reason. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks WreckWriter. Is there a way to modify your exhaust system the way I outlined above? Or would it not produce enough power increase to be worthwhile?

The ARH system has hi flow cats. I can be ordered cat-less, for racing use.

Depending on what state you are in, removing the cats can get you a fine. If you are looking for maximum power, then long tube headers are what you want. American Racing has a set with high flow cats.
