    Thanks Speed Looked like a very educated guess IMO and about what I was thinking. No, traction is not an issue yet although the car runs better some days than others for sure. I may just have to go hit a T&T some Friday night and find out, although I'm sure heat and humidity will factor in this late in the summer. I would be ecstatic to hit 13.05.

    Now to find $1700.00 laying around somewhere...

    First, I stated earlier that gains are not cummulative. Their add-on returns diminish as you do more and more due to traction, affect on each other, making the next weakest link apparent, etc.

    Having said that, if I read your signature correctly, you only picked up about 0.05 seconds in the 1/4 by intalling headers? Something's wrong. A half of a tenth? Did traction begin to get ugly? Were the track conditions/temps/etc really worse than your other runs? Were your other runs prior to headers simply phenominal given the prior mods? I don't think anyone with long tubes would expect a half of a tenth improvement.

    If that's the case, I'll never put headers on my car for that return for that kind of money. I can spend it better elsewhere...

    Somebody chime in here with more knowledge than me please...

    You should get more than that but every car is different and conditions are critically important for G8s.

    Headers are one of the "gotta have" mods in order to take full advantage of other mods. A CAI is another, as is a tune. The only mod that won't benefit from headers is a turbo, everyone else should have headers if you plan on doing anything even half-ass serious.
