Remote Start not starting

I hit the lock door button and then remoter start button the lights flash but the car doesn’t start. What could cause this issue? Where do I start to figure out my problem. Please help as it’s cold af in Chicago. TIA

Any mil/check engine lights on the dash? Can also be the hood latch which has a sensor to make sure it is closed. It's not uncommon to see them going bad.

If you don't have a cel on, its probably the hood latch. Jump the black and purple wire on the harness side and see if it starts. The plug is right in the middle above the radiator.

Hit the lock button twice too.

Mine did that the other day, it ended up working just fine some hours later after it had going through a normal keyed start cycle.


I would say it might have gotten confused.
