Default Rear mount turbo, fuel system up to par?

Thinking of putting a rear mount turbo on my g8. Not looking to run more that 10psi. How much hp can the stock pump and injectors handle? Not building a track car just a fun weekend ride.

    Thanks

    Very little....

You are going to need a fuel pump and injectors to run anything close to 11 pounds.

~500whp, maybe more if you don't care about running 100%+ IDC

Decap the stock injectors and have them leak/flow tested ($60) and they will flow ~75lbs. Or buy some deka 80s for ~$330. Then put a walbro 450 in the stock bucket for $120.

Why a rear mount turbo? It's the worst of both worlds.

Why? He said he isn't building a track car. It will make just as much "fun" power and keep the heat out of the engine bay for 1/2 the price of an LSA swap (depending on turbo choice). Mid mount would be my suggestion, but front mount is by far the worst option due to engine bay temps.

Edit: I would say that if money is no object, an LSA is the easier route due to it being 99% oem components, with tried and true reliability.

I have driven a couple cars with the sts kit. I was never impressed they dynoed well but would get walked by a maggie car with similar hp.

I'm sure turbo technology has improved but the ones I drove had horrible lag.

I like the rear mount for two reasons, everything in the engine bay will look bone stock. And should be easy to fab. Just need to do a little research on the self contained oil system . I already have a twin turbo mustang that is my track/street car. The g8 will just be a toy..

So 80lb injectors and a walbro 450 and call it a day? I know it will need tuned. Any good tuners in ohio? I know livernois is not too far away.

Will the car need tuned if I swap injectors and pump before the turbo kit?

You will need to tune for the injectors so they can be scaled correctly.

Any recommendations on a good tuner in ohio? I just want it to idle/drive like it does now.
