    The hotter it gets the more willing I am to do ac work. Call and find out how much places charge.

    Expansion valve replacement ..dealer price with recharge 275.00. Wasn't my G8 ..was my friends 06 GTO. I remember him telling me when I brought him to pick it up

    Well dealer said it was overfilled. They sucked it out and put in 20oz. He showed me the snap on machine. It tells u how much was recovered and how mich was added. It was overfilled by 8oz. He said the high press switch wasn't letting the compressor work. Ice cold now although it was only 80 yesterday. $60 out the door..

    That's great!

    So the overfill was from the previous owner. There's an added benefit in that the system was cleaned out.
