    Default My G8 GT Build

Well, it's been a long weekend, but she's finally done! I decided to tear into it after I lost two AFM lifters and a timing chain dampener (which I wasn't aware of until I pulled the oil pan). Here's the list of mods...

Spectre Cold Air Intake now wrapped to reduce heat soak
Frankenstein Engineering Dynamics Stage 1 LS3 Heads milled .25
Frankenstein .660 Lift Double Over Valve Springs
    Frankenstein 7.400" Hardened Pushrods
    LS7 Lifters
    LS2 Valley Cover
    LS2 Timing Gear and Chain
Ls3 Rocker Arms with Trunion Upgrade
    Frankenstein Spec'd Cam 228/234 .640/.620 119+6
Removed and Plugged Oil Pressure Relief
Circle D 3200 Stall Torque Converter
    1 3/4" Longtube Headers
    NGK BR7 plugs
    MSD plug wires
    Tuned by TXLSX

We took all of the accessories and the intake manifold off the first night, and Russell from Frankenstein came to help!

Then, we pulled the motor Friday morning and began breakdown.

Here's my timing chain dampener sitting at the bottom of the timing cover next to the oil pickup.
