will a 245/55-18 fit ok on the 18" base rim? im gonna use it as a spare so i didnt know since thats a bigger tire if it would fit in the spare tire space in the trunk?

An 18 in tire will fit the rim, no problem, but a 245/55/18 tire has a 28.6 in. diameter whereas a 245/45/18 has a diameter 26.7 in diameter, which accounts for a 6.6% difference.Originally Posted by Rubberman
