    Default Coilover help

After reading numerous threads and getting a lot of input from our members I have narrowed my choices to fe3's with stock or Tein springs OR Pedders Xa coilovers. I came up with about $650 for fe3's ($210 for struts here and $430 for shocks from Oz with shipping) add another $235 for the Tein's and were at about $900. I can get the Pedders for about $1,100 to my door. My question for those that run the Pedders is how much am I going to suffer with ride quality? I realize that everyone has there own ideas on this subject but I'm just am looking for feedback from people that have had some seat time with the Pedders. For $200 more why wouldn't I get them? I like the capability to adjust ride height but I don't want it to ride like a 20 foot flatbed. I have a 24K garage princess so it only comes out on pretty days.
TIA......I'm going to bed my eyes hurt.

Tom, I've been running Pedder's Street II for 7 years. The rides is good but expansion cracks can be a bit harsh. Coil overs you can set the ride height and therefore some of the harshness.

You may have considered this option already. A set of PPVs can be had for $250. Supposedly they are tighter than Fe3s but I have them with stock springs and they are tolerable for the crappy roads here in the NE and they really tie down the handling.

I know where you are coming from. Then coilovers with adjustable height and adjustable damping is the way to dial your G8 in.

H&R coilovers another option in the same ballpark on cost and supposedly tuned specifically for our car (vs all the controversy on spring rates and such with others). I've had FE3 and PPV fronts with stock FE2 springs. Couldn't tell the difference FE3 vs PPV but they were both better than FE2. No experience with coilovers though.

Based on my research, if I were to consider coilovers in the future, I would go with Pedders Supercar Adjustable Coilovers, though they are expensive.

Lower price at Wretched Motorsports and also more detailed info. Other vendors like Summit and CarID have the same price.

G8V8 and others give them high reviews.

Much thanks Dan for the info..they were my first choice but the budget (my wife of 37 years says nono)so for as much as I drive the car. I think the Xa's should work.

The XA's are definitely the runner up. And agreed, the price point is more agreeable.

If you search for the H&R coilovers I've seen them on a couple sites for a bit over $900...
