I ordered an alternator overdrive pulley to run with my underdrive crank pully. Anything special about removing the stock alt pulley? Bolt size?
Also when I watch my voltage in the DIC it fluctuates between 11-14 is that normal with the underdrive crank pulley or is my alternator on the way out. My alt light has come on once.
OK so now I've read that we have an decoupler pulley. It freewheels on deceleration and it's supposed to work with DOD. My DOD is deleted. Is the decoupler pulley with a DOD delete and 25% underdrive crank pulley a better option than an overdrive alt pulley to help bring back up the voltage? Anyone wanna join in?
Seems silly to put on an underdrive pulley and then overdrive the alternator. Whatever meager gains you were getting are cut even further.
