    Unhappy Power Windows Not Working

New to the G8 world, picked mine up a couple weeks ago and i absolutely love it. I've run into my first issue though, my power windows stopped working. It first happened a few days ago and before i could get home to troubleshoot they were working just fine again. Now it seems they have completely stopped working. I press the buttons and nothing happens, I've pulled up that mirror/lock/window piece and checked the connections and they all look great (no gunk or corrosion). I've checked the fuse F24 and B2 and they are intact and look good. The only thing i can think of now is the window control module under the drivers(?) side kick panel. I've been searching all day for an answer and no forums have touched on this particular problem (unless I missed something). Are there any relays i should be looking out for? Any input is appreciated!

When you check fuses - please do so with a volt/multi-meter. Either check for less then 1 ohms or if you have one that runs a continuity mode - use that.

Why I say this - experience has taught me that even though you can see in there - and it looks solid - it might not be. Had an issue many a moon ago on a car that wouldn't fire ignition and I had this older engineer I worked with say ring your fuse with a meter before you go buying a new coil. Balderdash right - turns out with time that damn fuse piece must have cracked or something - so it wasn't connected - but it also hadn't burned either.

SO I don't trust my eyes anymore I ring fuses.

My theory however - sight unseen - is that your issue is a interior relay. IE the smaller relays in the on the interior fuse panel at the driver door. IIRC there are something like 6 of them and one is for turning on the DRL's

IIRC there is a relay there for the window motors - or rather ALL window motors.

So the fuse panel at the driver side door is relays? Should i be worried about the second fuse panel in the trunk? When i bought the car it didn't come with an owners manual do you by chance have know what those fuses are? Thanks for the input guys, will start messing with it once the rain goes away.

I think it's your switch. Semi common problem on G8. Mine did the same thing. It would work then it would stop working. I could wiggle the switch button and it worked to get my window up and didn't roll it down again till I got a new switch. Replaced it and all is well. If you order a switch, remember, there are two different colors, black and grey.

there are fuses and a few little relays in that small panel, IIRC. the grey blocks running around the top and off to one side of the lower interior panel - are relays.

the fuses are of course mulit-color plastic bits in the middle. The diagram on the inside of the cover will tell you which is for what.

    Update #2

Did some more trouble shooting and come to find out that I'm not getting power to the fuse block for that particular circuit (B2). Does anyone know where the power feeds in from or what it comes from? Please advise

Thank you so much! I've been looking for something like that since the windows stopped working. This is going to be so helpful haha. I'll do some more trouble shooting after work today
