Manual mode issue help please

hey guys bought a 09 G8 GT with 88k a couple weeks ago. been slowly buying parts and modding. went to try and get a base dyno to see what my starting HP/TQ numbers are at but the car wont stay in "manual mode". which means the tuner couldnt do any 4th gear pulls. tried to lock it in with hptuners but it would not stay completely locked. would keep downshifting when full throttle.

anyways when i put it in "manual mode" itll show "M1" or "M2" but if i start rolling and try to bump the shifter up itll just kick me back into "sport mode"

i was told to check some fuses but wasnt clear on which ones i should check. i checked the ones i thought were related to the trans. then was also told it might be a issue in the shifter itself.


any help is greatly appreciated.
