Joe Gibbs is good stuff. Another great supplier is Brad Penn.

Does racing oil have all the stuff (additives) that good street oils have to take care of sludge, break down, etc. that race cars do not worry about (since the oil is dumped after every race)? Also is it multi-viscouscity to protect the engine during cold startups?

There were some posts about Penzoil Ultra Platinum Plus saying that their G8s quieted down noticeably. Something to consider over racing oils.

I'm pretty sure Joe Gibbs is blended by American refining group aka Brad Penn.
I know the supercharger, break in, and assembly lube for Joe Gibbs is made up there. As well as many many top shelf oils.
I use Brad Penn grade 1. It's designed for flat solid lifters but is great for a roller cam and bearings.
I chose it over mobile one simply because of quality control and additives.
