Default Calling for lockup of triple disc converter not completely working

On a Circle D triple disc converter I am calling for wot lockup on upshifts. The shift extension goes to 5200 or so. Perfectly normal. But then it drops 400 rpm to 4800 before locking up. I asked around and I heard that is not normal. It is costing me time at the track. Any ideas?

I looked in the partial lockup tables in hp tuners. I called for lockup in the last few cells in the partial tables to match the wot tables in the tcc tables. That seemed to help a bit. On your passes down the track which gears are you calling for on lockup? You are not calling for lockup between gears? That actually is easier on your converter. But kills the rest of the drivetrain including the transmission.

I don't tune myself so I'm not sure when it is being called for. All I know is that at the top of 3rd, around 6200, it drops to around 5800 and then back up to 6800 and shifts to 4th. I was told to try and make it lock in 2nd, but I haven't tried that yet
