Default L76 MAF Part Number Vs LS7

Ok so I have noticed most people have been upgrading to a 4 inch MAF housing and using the the
Maf Card with part number: ACDelco 213-4222 as found on amazon

I gave this part number to my local dealer and they ordered it in and it came in the enclosed housing like the factory ones do (Not Slot style)

I also compared this to a LS3 MAF and the part numbers are identical. Indicating to me the L76 & LS3 used in Holdens are the same MAF

Is the ACDelco 213-4222. Is this the right part number & MAF everyone is upgrading to?

Are you sure the parts guy was not trying to "protect" you and ordered the part that is stock on your car instead?
Does the one you received have the card that can be removed from the housing?

They found it in there system as a GM part # 15865791

which matches same as the the link here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Updated-G...BpyZkusJD291lQ

And what showed up was the factory MAF enclosed inside the housing which was identical to my stock one. The system also indicated that it is the same ones used in the LS3 HSV's here.

I guess one way to confirm it is to buy the slot style listed above with a housing & see if the car runs on the stock maf tables.

This is what 213-4222 looks like. I have two from Amazon:

You will need to swap wires for it to work. Going to the 4" housing will require calibration adjustments.

Plenty of threads on it. Use google to search the board, it's way better than the built in search

The above is for the G8, what's in Au, have no clue

Here is the l76 maf we have (had)

I just compared my tune file with a 2009 G8 file and the Maf tables are identical. So that means the dealer here uses the GM part # 15865791 which is for the slot style as picture above but supply the second pic above which is the standard enclosed maf.
