Hello all, greetings from Minnesota. Just picked up my first RWD and/or V8 vehicle! Happy to see it's a car that I've always dreamed of having. Before this I owned half a dozen W-Bodies, still got two left to fix and sell.. anyhow, looking to get her fixed up, might get another car for parts, or just source them - parts aren't exactly easy or cheap to get it seems.

Curious, it seemed to have been indicated in all the reading I've done, but the updated lifters that 09.5s have..., are those still going to have a chance of failing? Far as I can tell this thing is just about completely stock, just rear debadge and tint seems to be the only things that have been done it it.

Also, it seems to have two keys, the smaller one with the Pontiac emblem is broken off the plastic part, would this cause that key to only work on accessory and not turn the car on due to some security deal?

    '98-'04 3800 W-Bodies...., most of them sold.

If it's DoD, it's prone to failure. Yes, revised, yes, improved, however still not something I'd look over if I was doing a tear down/rebuild anyways. Whats the mileage, do you know?

Can you post a pic of what you're talking about? I believe there was originally a straight key, a flip key, and a glovebox key. I have all three but can't remember what the slender straight key is for. Glovebox maybe? Dont remember.

Welcome aboard. You probably already know, but there's a few bring parted out on the fb pages. You might be able to pick up some parts there.
