Default Do Not Buy ATP B-239 Filter Kit if You're Using a Shallow Pan

Amazon and Rock Auto both list ATP PN B-239 to fit a G8 with a 6L80. The filter that comes with this kit will not fit the stock shallow pan, it's at least and inch too tall.

I called Rock Auto to tell them their catalog was wrong. After arguing with a guy on the phone about whether or not it would fit, he called ATP and they told him that it I was correct and it would not fit. He apologized and said they would update their catalog. As of 07:00 CDT this PN is still listed on the their website. DO NOT buy this product unless you are using the deep sump pan.

I was just going to post this same thing. Ordered the B239 from Rock Auto. Today in the middle of the project, I discovered this filter doesn't fit.
I also discovered that no one, I repeat no one keeps the 6L80E filter for the G8 in stock. I checked Autozone, Advance Auto, PepBoys, Napa, local Chevy Dealer, and Local Buick Dealer.

And I should add that Rockauto is still showing B239 as correct for the G8. Not even sure what the correct ATP number is. I did place an order with a local wholesaler, and felt confident I was getting the right one when he asked if I had a deep or shallow pan, but then after looking up the WIX part number he ordered for me, it seems like its for V6, 5 speed. UGH.
