Default Can you remove the upper/lower honeycomb grille inserts easily/safely?

Is there a way to remove the upper and lower front honeycomb grille inserts without taking the whole front fascia off or breaking tabs, etc., in the process? I know you can take the fascia off but it's a killer to get my big hands up inside the extreme front of the fenderwells to get to those bolts and all.

Just pull straight off. You can spray soap water around and in the tab areas to help.

Bottoms are easy, tops can be a bit stiff.
