I'm curious if this plate is even worth it with a meth kit? I Also live in a hot city that gets well into the 100s during the day but is mostly in the high 80's in the evening. But i'm debating if i need this RDS plate for my tvs1900 with a ported 2300 bottom with an aquamist meth kit. or is it just over kill and more suited for someone who isnt using a meth kit.

Anyone? I've searched a lot for this but people never brought up using a meth kit with it etc..
I'll be aiming for the 700rwhp range with my setup. Just need to see if I need to add a rds plate or not.

I am running this plate and meth. If your aim is 700 rwhp you can do that with a 2300 and meth and no plate.

    Rotohack 102 intake - 102 MAF - TPIS 102 TB - TVS1900 ported & plated w 8 rib 2.5" front + OD rear
PnP Interchiller - RCR ported heads - RCR Lunati 219/231 113+1 - Forged Bottom End
    ARH 2" LT headers - Solo 3" CB - MT DRs + M&H FRs on Weld RT-S
    CTS-V fuel w Vaporworx - FAST 85s - Alkycontrol meth M15 + M10 - RCR tune

What benefits do you see using it with meth? Less reliance on meth or what? I just want to get it all right on my first go around.

The intercooler sits about 2mm off of the floor of the lower manifold. That means that all the air being pushed through the engine has to go through that constriction. The plate opens that up to to almost 15mm. The air can move better, therefore the supercharger uses a little less energy to push the air through. Less energy used by the supercharger means more available at the rear wheels. It also means a little less stress on the jackshaft and the belt. That is my thought anyway. I have no back to back testing saying it works.

hmm, I guess it would still benefit even though i'm doing Aquamist meth too.. i was just wondering if Meth still accomplishes the same thing since the meth/water mix is cooling too.

Question - was the "trimming of the plate" relegated to only the Magnuson 2300 SC? Or does it apply to the 1900 as well? HF
