    Question Fayetteville Dragstrip Friday night - 8-28?

    Anybody from here going?
    They have test-n-tune on Friday nights.

    I plan to drive down from the Apex / Fuquay-Varina area tomorrow night.

    Need to see what my G8 can do! Haha.

    Let me know if anyone is going and wants to convoy down together.

    I think the date is the 28th but Rick is planning on being there last I checked. I can't make it tomorrow night but will likely be down next Friday night.
    2009 Hot White G8 GT, CTS-V v1 fronts, Camaro 20's, BMR Sways, Eibach Springs, Rear Cradle bushings. GXP FE3's, BMR rear susp. Kooks 1 7/8 LT headers, RCR custom 3 exhaust, ported LSA blower, 2.38 pulley; Ported heads and TB; LS7 MAF, Racetec pistons, Scat rods, CTS-V crank; FAST 85 injectors; RCR Lunati cam: 223/238 .615/.601, 116 +2 LSA. CTS-V pump/VaporWorx cntlr. Built trans, Methanol injection. Rick Crawford built and tuned. Best 1/4 9.68 @142, 1.42 60'.

    The ole' G8 didn't do too bad tonight.

    Right off the street with 1/2 tank of fuel and my sumitomo street tires it ran -
    2.04 60 feet
    8.35 @ 86mph - 1/8th
    12.89 @ 109mph - 1/4
    Light scuff of tires just past burnout box. Footbrake to 1,200rpms.
    Traction control on. Transmission in Sport mode.

    I let it cool for about 1 hour and put a bag of ice on the intake manifold.
    Next pass
    1.96 60 feet
    8.17 @ 88mph - 1/8th
    12.64 @ Unknown mph - 1/4 (left lane was not giving 1/4 mile mph)
    Quick burn of tires just past burnout box. Footbrake to 1,400rpms.
    Traction control on. Transmission in Sport mode.

    Overall I was pleased with how the car ran. Looking forward to more mods to go even faster next time out!


    Rick had a customer's car there just like mine but with a cam and LSA swap with meth.
    It ran 10.20's back to back at 136mph!! I gotta have it!! Haha.
