    Default Ryan's G8 6MT Track Day monster build/financial suicide

Hey all been a while. I've been busy running my G35 sedan 6mt at tracks. I love it, well recently I got a hair up my ass and decided my G8 was going to make an appearance next year at #GridLife. Figured I would share my plans and progress and possibly get some info and advice.
First this is my car now
    2009 G8 Gt
    LMS Cam 2C
Kooks mids, solo Mach shorty, powerdrive pulley, LS7 maf, head work, rotofab
    450rwhp
    Suspension
BMR sway bars, whiteline bushings, whiteline end links.

Now, here is my parts list for this fall/winter
    Drive train
    Clutch master-got 89$
    Clutch pedal and assembly-got 56$
Tr6060-Daniel and Jegs are working with me on pricing looking like 1800-2600$
Shift boot/Nob-not yet will order from Crazy Paul
    Driveshaft-more research being done

    Suspension and brakes
    CTSV 4 pots-have
    BC coilovers
    Carbotech pads
    Camaro SS rotors
    BMR subframe connectors
    ARP wheel studs
    Wheels
CTSV coupe rear wheels on all 4 corners
And a set of 200 tread or lower
Now I can't find drive shaft lengths I'm thinking I may have to order a GXP one unless the GTs will fit.
    Thanks!
    Happy motoring

I would look into the H&R coilovers instead of the BCs.

    Rotohack 102 intake - 102 MAF - TPIS 102 TB - TVS1900 ported & plated w 8 rib 2.5" front + OD rear
PnP Interchiller - RCR ported heads - RCR Lunati 219/231 113+1 - Forged Bottom End
    ARH 2" LT headers - Solo 3" CB - MT DRs + M&H FRs on Weld RT-S
    CTS-V fuel w Vaporworx - FAST 85s - Alkycontrol meth M15 + M10 - RCR tune

I'm guessing you want to do a manual transmission swap?
You need the gxp leangt drive shaft. It's about an inch shorter the gt.
Greg at pace and get you everything you need at good price. One shot one shipping. You will save on shipping alot.

Thanks, that's actually what I've been looking for!!!!!! Thanks so much lol. Yeah I've got everything else lined up. Seems to be simple, but any modifications to wire? The TCM should plug right in

    ?
I have a build thread with all the info you need. Search manual conversion.
Flash the bcm so you don't need the tcm.

For the Carbotech track pads, I run XP24 on the front with those calipers and XP10's on the rear stock calipers and they do great. I also have these brake vents for the front:

i'd recommend Koni and H&R i tracked the car already and it helps to dial the car in for under/oversteer. I have CTSV wheels of off sedan and im toying idea about running 4 rears(i have one extra rear wheel) because car understeers alot. i think you will have problem fitting 10" in front i know that 9.5 will fit with some spacing, racing pads would next thing and good tires. i run Michelin PSS F255 and R285 and i love them but you may want something cheaper that will take the beating of this heavy boat.
