One would surmise the newer part would be an upgrade but I have been caught up in that before with newer parts being a cost cutting change
Not really interested in putting jobber parts in my wifes G8 at this point but if the SS- Caprice part was better, I would go there.

Don't know the difference between the G8 and SS/Caprice front sway bar links, but the moog front sway bar links are cheaper than all of the part #'s you posted. I know many have used the moog pieces and have been happy. Moog part #'s are K750163 & K750162. They're about $30 a piece on Amazon.
