    Default Parking Brake Adjustment

So i swapped out the rotors. And on the rear behind the rotor there is like a gear exposing only its teeth. Researched it and found out that this is what adjusts the parking brake. Now for my question. Which way is too loosen and which way is tighten it? Is there a way to see how much i've tightened or loosened it? Tried playing with the parking brake while adjusting but couldnt feel a difference if any. Hate guessing.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure it depends on which side you're working on. It's clear which way tightens when you make a big adjustment and the wheel won't turn. Once you get to that point, back off until the shoes don't scrape. Rinse and repeat. There isn't a whole lot of feedback from the handle.
