Sounds like the AFM went wonky-
Get it out of there= even if you have to tow it and take to a reputable shop.

Nup, internal oil system leak would not make it go out the back. Nothing to do with AFM reliability or failure. It is air oil separation (AOS) issue. The PCV is plumbed incorrectly.
Also worth pointing out seeing not much publicised about the recall / TSB revision to oil baffle on driver side rocker cover that was replaced with Series II AFM cars in January 2011, but was identified as the major source of excess oil consumption. All AFM cars should run the new driver side rocker cover with revised AOS baffle.

Maybe oil rings not lined up properly. It will still make compression but the ring gaps may be lined up causing oil to get into the upper compression rings? Just my thought.
