Morning gentlemen. I've having a couple of issues with my TVS2300 powered GT, and I was curious if anyone here has seen either of these issues before or could shed some light...
1. On cold start ups, I get cylinder misfires on cylinders 5, 6, 7, and 8. 6 is the worst with 40ish misfires every cold start up, the rest are in the 10-20 range. This only happens at idle after a cold start up. I've pulled the plugs and they all look fine, no build up, no heat marks. I've run compression tests and all 8 are pretty even with similar leak downs. Once the car warms up, they go away, and it doesn't misfire at all while driving it around or under boost. Any idea what could be going on here? I thought head gasket once the plugs were OK, but the leak downs and clean coolant / oil seem to point away from that.
2. Knock retard. While cruising around, under very light throttle, if I have to give a little gas to hold speed going up a hill or overpass I'll get 8-9 degrees of knock retard. Oddly enough, if I go full throttle, of course no knock retard, but also the cruise knock retard problem magically disappears for the rest of that drive. I've tried pulling 20 degrees of timing from the affected cells and it still happens, and I'm running 93. I've checked and the headers aren't contacting the body/frame anywhere.
