Put a little grease are the bleeder threads so air can't be sucked through the threads.
I have a mity vac, but I'm not a fan.

    Any advice?

you can do that - and I have done that many a timie.

like Ray said put some grease on the rubber nipple they supply so it will seal a bit better - because after the 3rd wheel - it will be loose.

but where it's really helpful is using it to suck old fluid out of the reservoir before you start. when you flush it clean.
