Default CTS V Brakes - Hawks pads or...?

So I'm likely going to need new front pads for my Gen 1 CTS V Brembos this Spring, she's starting so squeal a little when I hit the brakes. Right now I'm running hawks HPS pads and they've been great but I'm wondering what else is out there that people have used/like? The HPS dust a bit but it's nothing I can't handle with a wheel wash here and there.

Stick with hawks or try something else? Car is a year round driver in Michigan, so Autocross pads are out because they don't work well cold.

Based on these forums, I'm going with the Carbotech 1521. They are a bit more than the Hawks.

Hmmm... looks like they're actually cheaper than the Hawks HPS pads.

The part number for the basic 1521 pad for a CTS V caliper is Carbotech CT1001A-1521. I googled it and the first result had them for 177 vs 260 or so for the Hawks HPS.

I came from the Hawk HPS and really like the Porterfield pads. They dust more but the dust cleans off easier, performance is where they really shine.. And not a squeak.

How do the cost of the Porterfields compare to Hawks and Carbotechs? Also who carries them?

I got my pads from LPI Racing / Livermore, CA they seemed to have the best pricing

    Hawk HPS on a 194 size - $127
Porterfield R4-S on the same size $149
