...where my head was at indeed. However, there are threads out there "suggesting" that these cutouts don't have long shelf lives. Electric motors on the cutouts having to be replaced frequently. I'm cautious now.

Also why it's good to go with a reputable company that actually honors something call "warranty" lol

Mid muffler delete and bi-modals gets you the best of both worlds.

Thanks but really want the mid muffler to eliminate drone. If I fall short on hp because of the mid muffler - in good with that. I just can't live with drone. It drives me nuts! Concession being made.

Drone is fixed with either stock AFM silencers or HSV bi-modals at rear. Else ~27" capped pipes on any system will do the trick - performance without the drone that is.

Boy those HSV bi-modals are NICE!!! I kept following link after link after link ....just reading. They are great design. They are a bit pricey at $2k -- but if my current attempts don't deliver. I will have to sell "one of my kidneys" on eBay for the bi-modals.

Nah set up an alert for "HSV bimodal" on eBay, I paid $250 for a take-off pair HSV bi-modals - they are stainless so doesn't really matter.
Not that hard to ship either, couple of hundred to US. Hook it up with mildtowild controller for $200 or DIY switch for about $50.
I have dynoed open (mid muffler delete) and closed and there's no difference until 3000 RPM, have detailed chart if you like.
Lister to this with headphones or hifi with LFE / sub:
