Default Roto-Fab New High Flow Intake

Thanks to all of the G8 owners out there itching for a little more performance, the Roto-fab Pontiac G8 cold air intake system CAI continues to be a very popular product in our line. As more of these cars are being modified, the requests for larger duct work have been more common. Over the past few years we have offered (in very limited special order quantities) a “102” intake which uses a 4” stainless steel inlet elbow measuring about 3.8” inside diameter. This tube was then used with a 4” OD MAF sensor housing and the corresponding “card style” MAF sensor. Although performance levels increased, this combination was very expensive and time consuming to produce. Another problem was the end user was responsible for supplying the MAF housing and then coupling all of the components together.
We are excited to announce the solution is here! The Roto-fab High Flow G8 V8 intake system solves aforementioned problems while supplying you with a system that has larger duct work from the filter all of the way to the throttle body. This system includes a new custom molded larger inlet elbow, 4”OD MAF sensor housing which accepts the “card style” MAF sensor and a larger air box adapter duct which is coupled by our oversize air filter. All of the correct silicone couplers are supplied as well. This system will now give you 3.8” to 3.9” ID of the MAF sensor housing for the entire length of the duct work. Please keep in mind this style of MAF sensor does require tuning to your G8.
The Roto-fab Pontiac G8 high flow intake system is available as a complete unit or as an upgrade kit for those who already have our G8 V8 intake system. The upgrade kit includes:
Inlet elbow, MAF sensor housing, air box adapter duct, (2) 4”- 4 ¼” silicone step hose couplers and (1) 4”-4 ¼” silicone step hump hose.

For those interested in purchasing our complete “high flow” system, you will receive the components listed above plus the remainder of our Roto-fab Pontiac G8 cold air intake system CAI.

I currently own the 102 Roto-fab CAI and have a custom tune. Is there any benefit for me to get the upgrade kit?

Yes it will fit on the stock throttle body. We also have a lager diameter hose for those that do not have the stock throttle body and in that case you must specify that when you call and order.

This is essentially the same system as our previous style 102 intake with the exception of a new manufacturing process witch is more affordable for the customer.

Thanks for the info. Would it be possible to just purchase the black matte elbow then? I would have chosen that if it had been an option when I purchased the 102 Roto-fab back in 2012.

I installed my 4" kit yesterday! Everything went well except I needed some bigger clamps. I'm not using the stock clamps however. I use the stainless band clamps. Ordered a couple off of Amazon and should have them here by Wednesday. The kit fit as expected and while a little fiddly getting it all together, it fit great!

I'll post pics once complete. For now, imagine it looking exactly the same as before, but slightly larger OD.

I emailed RotoFab about this, but maybe someone here can help.

    Two things...

One, what thread and pitch is the threaded insert in the tube? I've deleted the line from intake to passenger valve cover, so I need to plug that insert.

Two, the bulb style coupler AFTER the maf tube hits the ps reservoir pretty bad, any problems with airflow turbulence if its BEFORE the maf tube? If not, anyone know where I can get another straight 4x4-1/4 coupler?

    Thanks!
