Should I replace the springs?

Haven't been able to find much info on whether people replace their springs when doing the struts usually.

My car has about 120k on it and when I bring it out of storage this weekend I am going to start doing the suspension on it. Planning on putting in the FE3 struts/shocks but I am wondering if I should replace the springs at the same time or if people think the springs should still be ok?

with 120K I would replace the springs as well

Thanks! Do you know if the GT springs are progressive like the GXP? I am not really looking to lower the car.

I am not sure. You will also need strut bushings and bearings

Yep. Planned on the bushings and bearings also. Just don't know what brand yet. I have seen the Whiteline products recommended in the past.

the springs are not progressive. they are linear and most people swear the Gt and the GXP springs are the same. I'd day if they aren't (and i'm not 100% sure on that) they are going to be damn close.

GXP struts (FE3) are awesome though - for the money

also unless you have issues - see cracks - they look funny - have uneven ride heights (one is shorter than the other etc)

you don't need to replacement. they've been fully scragged, bead blasted, stress relieved - fail safe spring design. without major damange - they are just fine.

I have 128K on mine - had 100+ when I traded struts.

get new front mounts - get new bearings - you most likely need them. whiteline tends to be the cheapest overall. doesn't me that the others are bad by any means.

if it hadn't been for the cost - I've have put rubber ones back in.

if you are doing it yourself - be careful about the clocking of the front struts - before you disassemble the strut unit, mark on the top hat the location of the knuckle flange (the 2 pieces welded to the bottom that the large bolts to the knuckle run through). it saves much time.
