Default Too fast for the track! No more fun for me.... for now

Last week, Made my best pass to date on 9/21/14 - Only got 3 runs in and it rained. I got a warning that I need to "Slow it down"

Went back yesterday, 9/28/14. - First pass was within 1/10th of Last Sunday.

Made my 1st pass, was notified that I was going too fast for not having a cage and I would be restricted to the 1/8th mile. I negotiated for 1 more pass and went Balls Out.

I am Extremely pleased with the SS. Perhaps I will build an actual Drag car from a high mileage G8 GT and then I can have fun without restrictions. Who knows.. More full videos and GoPro footage in a week or so.

I thought the rules have changed? I thought it was up to a certain year that it was still 11.50, but our cars where newer than the years it went to. I thought we were good until 9's or so?

I guess 2008+ it is 9.99 or faster. That is for NHRA rules I am told. This little track is near my home and is not an NHRA Track. Just following their rules. I will look more into it, until then I have an NHRA track a little over an hour away. Milan Dragway is a very nice track and typically I get a Very good 60' from their well prepped track. We'll see in the future.

I think that rule only applies to stock cars. once you mod them the "zr1 rule" as I have heard it called no longer applies.

Drag packs make a HUGE difference. Where did you get your Racestars at?

But you can get on a motorcycle and run 9s with essentially no protection (compared to a car). Sure they have on a helmet and leathers, but I wouldn't want my ass sliding down the track at 160 mph...
