    Ahhhh....
    I was thinking u were wanting to use the magnaflow muffler with x pipe and the Morosos....

    Xpipe and Moroso combo would be beastly

    straight pipe the axleback and add j-tubes. If it's too loud, add the MF 12468 at the X location. I LOVED the straight pipe sound until the converter...then it got annoying.
    Yes for us larger guys that screw can be a pain!

    08 G8 GT, IOM, Rotofab, HSRK, Kooks LTs, track pipes, Custom engine covers, catch can, radiator cover, and tranny tunnel brace. 402hp/396tq - not bad for a bolt -on car.

    Take some solos and weld in a dynomax bullet in its place.
    You will still retain the J pipe but you will also take away some of the rasp that the solo gives.

    Probably bolt and go... and I would certainly consider the Corsa, but I thought that I read that they don't sell the mufflers used in their catback system separately, so I would be guessing on which version to get. The guy in town is crazy expensive for his work, and really there is just one guy. It was $200 just to swap flanges (this did include welding on new flanges, as well as a few cuts/adjustments to get them to line up right) on the Hooker Maxflow setup I had to adjust. I can't even imagine what it would cost me to have some jpipes added to a set of magnaflows plus flanges and tips...
    I think so, but it is subjective.

    Have to say partial to my current set up, tried multiple variations, many mufflers etc, this is performance sounding not overly loud, no drone, deep bass on start up and idle, performance v8 while cruising, not loud....wot different story just a high rpm screaming corvette sorta sound that gets rave reviews from all who heard it....
    Kooks mids, high flow kooks cats, 3 inch X pipe 2.5 ss pipes to 12 inch magnaflow ss straight through mufflers and stock tips, perfect!

    Split the x-pipe and put a 4" straight-thru muffler in place, Solo's out back. This will get you the sound you want.

    Added the Solo Axleback this afternoon. One word. Loud. I love it at idle, but I'd rather not attract every cop in three counties every time I get on it.

    Love that there is no drone, though. I had heard someone describe the solo axleback as losing all refinement (hell, it IS a straight pipe), and making our cars sound like tractors... I don't know that I would go that far, but I can see where they're coming from. I thought the Hooker Maxflows sounded almost import like (which I didn't like, I wanted more volume), and the Solo's on the other hand have TONS of bark.

    Where is the middle ground?

    Add the mid muffler?

    Try an X pipe, that tamed my header high flow cat into magnaflows. My magnaflow are straight through mufflers

    anybody ever try MAC mufflers???? they sound good on just about everything. listened to them on a gto on youtube sounds pretty good! that might be what you want
