    Default i am back

hello everyone. back in 09 or so I had an 09 white gt that I put some low mount twins on. I moved on from that car but after messing with some other stuff I find myself missing that car. the whole midsize 4 door family car hot rod thing just works for me and I am a big ls engine fan.

this time around I am going for a little more power and starting with a much cheaper car. since I plan on changing or rebuilding so much of the car I decided to get the cheapest car I could find that looked nice without caring about miles.

I ended up with a 2008 with 228k miles on it. it is a 10 footer. beautiful car rolling down the highway but if you get right up on it you can see many paint chips and a couple of dings. it is perfect for what I want to do. it drives great and everything works. it was $8500 and came with new tires and brakes.

plan is twins again. maybe the FORE triple fuel system, not sure if I will stick with the 6l80 or just make the jump to a 4l80. i want to be able to cut at least 1.5's with the car and am not sure if that will require the 9" of if there is a cheaper way to do it. i guess it is time to do some reading around here.

    Awesome, welcome back!!!!!

Oh - and since you're not worried about long term value of the car, etc, and this seems to be a purpose built project, my vote is for the 4l trans.

yeah, i am leaning toward this. i wouldn't be surprised if a shift kit only 4l80e made it into the high 9's in a g8.

the rear end is the real budget breaker. i think to do what i want i need that 9" set up but i am still reading up on that one.
